When I tried the 185 noslers I was using my riger 77/50,haven' t used it in 2 years now because I got a knight 45 cal ,then this past year I got a T/C Encore 50 and 45 cal.so I have been working on those the last 2 years.The Ruger will shoot about any bullet I put through it from 180 t0 250 gr.Using the Nosler I85 took 3 deer the last year I used the 185 nosler because some of my buddies were using them so I had to try them,I zeroed it in dead center at 100 yds. never shot it farther because at the time that was as long a shot you had at the range.Shot one in the head at 35 yds,one in the neck at 65 yds and one in the head at 75 yds. all dropped in their tracks.I used 100 grs of clean shot powder.
The reason I haven' t tried them in my encore yet is because I tried the barnes 195 in my 50 cal and it shoots great.I want to try the 195 in my 45 encore soon as I get around to it,sent my 45 barrel back and just got it back this week
