Default RE: basset hounds

ORIGINAL: corndog09

i have a basset hound, he's all the time tryin to track something, are they really good for rabit hunting like people say they are?
sure they can hunt rabbits.
my lab hunts them too but cant go into briars, your basset can and thats good for rabbits and pheasants also..

i killed more pheasants years ago on state land here in pa. with a beagle, not a lab or gsp, setter.

why?because after pheasants are pressured that are left, they will head to briars, not fields and thats where your basset will shine.....
