RE: 10 - Official Team Germ Warfare Thread
Definately check the corners of the fields on the east side, especially if they still have crops or browse.Generally, I try to be 40 yards from the field so if the bucks are holding up til dark I may get lucky and get a shot. I marked the north and south of the pond because it acts a natural obstruction rerouting traffic as well as a water source. The creek bottom is hard to say, I would probably just walk the entire thing looking for low banks and the easiest access to cross. Find those areas and you should find what we call "slides", those beat down areas on the banks were the deer cross.
I have an area right now were the deer come down one slide, walk the creek bottom for 40 yards and then go up a steep bank on the other side. I haven't figured out why, but they are breaking the path of least resistance rule. There is plenty of cover for them to come out of the creekdirectly across from where they enter and itsa heck of a lot easier.
