Yes, very much so. Like I said, I use it every 3-4 cleanings when I want to get absolutely clean. You know how you clean with normal solvents until you think it is clean, then you wet a patch with Hoppes and leave overnight? Next day lots of blue on your patch? Tried this after the Foul Out and was very pleased with the thoroughness.

If you shoot any lead bullets, you will be really shocked by how quick and easy it removes lead.

A tip to get you started, after 30 min. to an hour pull the rod out, clean copper off with scotchbrite and reinsert. Reposition o-rings slightly also.
