If I want to turn in my score I put on a Copper John sight. If not, I leave my Cosmic Lite on. The Cosmic puts me in MBO (open) due to the moveable pin. The CJ lets me shoot HC (hunter). Otherwise everything else is the same for hunting or 3D. I found there wasn' t much to be gained by using lighter arrows as opposed to the ones I hunt with. But at 368 gr, they aren' t that heavy to begin with. If I shot from the longer stakes, I' d reevaluate this, though. If I want to practice & just shoot for fun, I run what I brung. If I decided to become serious about the open classes, I' d get the equipment to be competitive. But that doesn' t mean I can' t practice with the hunting setup at times.
