They are the Woody Max boots. Can't remember off hand if the sole was soft, I think the uppers are kinda rigid, but maybe the sole does give some. They're out in the truck now or I'd check. The guy at the store I bought them said his were so comfortable, he wears them around the house. I can see why. On the other hand, a friend of mine said he tried on a pair and they didn't fit him right. I think they're the best boots I've ever worn.
