RE: Making the switch from "low top" boots to knee highs?
cabelas has some of their own branded ones that I've had really good luck with. I usually go through a pair a year or I patch them up and try for two. But, these cabelas ones (400 grain thinsulate) are in their 3rd year and not a crack! Only problem is it's impossible to stalk with them. the tops of them make a bit of noise as I walk. There's little straps to tighten them up, but you can't tighten them enough (i have bird legs).
oh, i should mention that they are the most comfortable rubber boots I've ever worn. They rock! Never tried muck though, heard good things.
