RE: After work huntng dillemma
Thanks for the input guys. I should offer some more background.
This year is my 1st at this job. We have flex hours, but have a core that must be maintained. It runs to 330.
Even though option A is my best spot it will be hunted with all the wind precautions and from the fringes. As would be the treatment for all the spots during this early time. I had hoped to be able to get to options B&C with more time, but it doesn’t look like it due to traffic. Option A is actually a group of 3-4 spots all real close together that I have been hunting the past 2 weeks for does. I’ve been on the ground and very unintrusive. That tactic has also not presented me much action. Could have been the extreme heat and bad moon phase.
Mostly I just wonder if I am completely nuts for wanting to drive nearly an hour and a half in bad traffic to hunt spots I am more comfortable in, or should I just suck it up and hunt the easier spots and be happy that I am even in the woods? I was figuring Monday Tuesday, go for B/C, Wednesday Thursday, A spots and back to B for Fridays (I only work until 1130 AM)
