I was only 80 yards away and I saw the doe run off so I gave it 10 minutes and went and found her.My wifewas happy and kind of sad at the same time.I think it is a normal response to a first kill.

It's an unpleasant job to take an animals life and requires a certain level of maturity to do the unpleasant but necessary things that need doing. I kind of feel that certain people should be aware of it but sheltered. Women are among that group. I also feel that any woman who is willing to do it will be a much better person. Your wife grew up a little that day. She lost some innocence and gained in maturity.Glad to have her in the ranks. Ya got a good woman.
