As many people on here have said...things change. I hope, no matter what, you do not lose your love of the outdoors whatever you carry in your hand. Taking a kid seems to be the "a" answer and I'm sure that will work. Ialso like your idea of a "change inscenary" and might suggest that if you have the means available, you also try to hunt forsomething you've never done before in a landscape you've never seen (orrarely seen) before. Perhaps sometimes it's just the repetition that gets old. take care.
