Default GREAT NIGHT HUNTIN

After a very dull opening morning today I predicted a great evening hunt. Even with a full moon I knew the last few hours of light would be awesome. Here's how it unfold.

Chester County Pa-

got in the woods around 3, by 4 I saw 4 nice sized deer about 80 yards away couldn't tell if any were bucks. 430 two small yearling does came in and played all around the base of my tree. A few min later a very big bodied six point came in at about 10 yards. His rack was tall but the points were 1-2 in so he was definitly not a shooter. As he walked away I looked up to my right and saw a small 8 point followed by a rather nice 8 point. (Maybe grossing 90-100) The smaller headed right for my buddy and the bigger stayed put. Just as the bigger 8 started coming closer I heard my buddy shoot the smaller buck. It spooked the big 8 away.

He hit shoulder blade and the deer pulled the arrow out about 60 yards from where he was shot. The arrow made it in to one lung pretty good. I picked up a decent blood trail and decided to cut out and hope for the best in the morning. I hit one like that last year it ended up jumping on me twice so I'd rather wait.

I also landed another hunting spot on the opposite side of the same woods and the land owners claim to have seen a "16" point buck. I may have to give that spot a sit or two before I go back for my 8 point.

Wish me luck finding his deer in the morning, any advice would be gladly accepted. I just wanted to let everyone know what a great night I had. Any time I have 3 bucks with in 50 yards of me I am happy.

Hope everyone else had a great hunt.
