here is a coyote i shot in the head with my Savage 17hmr using Remington V-max 17grain.

I love the 17hmr for groundhogs and birds. I'm very comfortable with my 17hmr. I can hit penny's or be very close at 50 yards almost everytime. at 100 yards under 1\2 3 shot groups almosteverytime ( couple flyers here and there). If I'm going coyote calling I always use the 12guage or .243 but had the 17hmr with me that day.Seen that young dog out in the field mousing when I barked once at her and she sat and looked in my direction and i put a 17g pill in her brain
