There is definitely an art to getting permission to hunt someones land. You can't get discouraged WHEN you get denied a bunch of times. Looking for quality land and persistently pursuing private land to hunt WILL eventually payoff. After awhile you have gathered so many parcels to hunt that you start to pick and choose your prime land to hunt and your secondary lands to hunt. Some of the pieces of land you aquire over the years end up not being hunted (but still hang on to them, pay attention to them, thank the landowner etc.....). I've lost track of how many places I have to hunt now. I have them narrowed down to 3 different pieces of land that I REALLY focus on.

I just try to keep things simple and to the point by asking where they want me to park since I'll be hunting here this year.
