I guess I stand corrected, I am familiar with the Hill Country/ thought exotics had to be behind a high fence so as not to "cross" with other species. Texas game laws? not sure just asking.
Originally I believe they were suppose to be except for when Teddy Roosevelt brought Nilgi to south Texas and they started to tear down fences[:@], but thats another topic. They whitetails won't "cross" with another species, at least I have not ever heard of them doing it. The problem is axis, fallow, and black-buck can out compete whitetails for their food sources and will eat things that whitetails won't.
