Once I was fishing and decided to walk into the water with my shorts and shoes to gain access to a better spot. Getting there, waist deep and casting as well... when all of a sudden something starts tearing violently at my shoes and thrashing about on my bare ankles. I freaked out, kicking my feet about, terrified,almost screaming,andlooked down in the water but couldn't immediately make out what it was because of the current in the river. Ironically, it was one of the largemouth bass I was fishing for. Apparently he thought my shoe strings waving around in the current was a worm of some sort.
