We are getting closer !! Well not killing but at least getting within bow range of something bigger. Last night it was a bit breezy and light rain so I went still hunting/scouting. Got within 15 yards of a 2.5 year old 4 pt. About a half hour before dark I was working my way back and got careless. I rounded a corner of a sloughjust as a 135 - 140 class4 ptrounded the same corner. We had a 20 yard face off. [] I should have gotten into the cover instead of walking the edge. I knew better and messed up. But man was it fun !!

There are bigger bucks so notbummedon blundering. Still hunting was a nice change of pace and I enjoyed it. Plus it was too cold for the skeeters to be out. That was nice all in itself !!!
