I've done a LOT of paddling in small jon boats down small creeks in my lifetime; frogging was how I was introduced to the outdoors by my father, and I was always the guy in the back paddling... If you can paddle downstream to your honey hole, I'd say you could almost do it effortlessly and without a hint of noise.
