yeh instinctive shooting is good but wait until you get them sights set up.... your 4-5inch group at 25-30yrds will shrink to 2-3inches. If your confident in your shooting then go for it.
As far as your arm being hit.... take the arm you hold the bow with, make a fist and put it against the wall as if you were holding your bow. Without moving your wrist, twist your elbow outward, now practice doing this while holding and shooting your bow, and it will solve that problem.
