I guess I will be the first to disagree with everyone else. LoL
I use 150gr. in my .270win. I mostly hunt thick cover or creek bottoms where my shots are under 100yds.
I have shot plenty of deer with 130gr. and 150gr. I just like the 150's. A high sholder shot with a 150gr CoreLokt equals no tracking.
My rifle (700 ADL) will shoot almost every bullet that I've tried (and I've tried alot over the 10+ years of having it) almost identical. So, what I do is keep both 130gr and 150gr with me. In case I hunt an open field or cut-over, I just load up a 130gr.
