RE: mossburg shotguns any good?
I have a couple of Mossberg 500s and have never had a problem with either that was due to anything besides my abuse. They never failed me in any weather, be for spring turkey, November deer, or January bunnies.
The first firearm I bought 30 years ago was a Mossberg 500, 30" barrel with a full choke. Though it has been supplanted by a couple of Browning O/Us and assorted rifles, it still sits in my closet ready to go, albeit with a new stock to replace the one I broke, a smoothbore slug barrel, and a Gander Mtn scope..
Except for the fact that as I got older my budget allowed me to get nicer stuff, I have a soft spot for that gun. Maybe I'll take it for shotgun deer.
