RE: How many tags does your state give you?
In Indiana you may only take one animal for each license you purchase. With regular archery licenses you may take two anterless deer or one antlered and one antlerless deer. You may purchase bonus antlerless licenses and take up to 330 does statewide as we have a maximum quota for each county. Some county quotas are as high as eight. We also have a one buck rule which allows you to take only one buck during all of the seasons combined.
With a firearms license you may take only one antlered deer. If you shot an antlered deer during the archery season you may not use a firearm license...you would have to purchase a bonus antlerless license and only shoot a doe. During the muzzleloader season you may take a deer of either sex. Again, you may not take a buck if you have already killed one with your bow or firearm.
