As im sitting in my stand lastnight in the warmth of 75 deg. I heard some commotion behind me. I turn around and couldnt see anything. So I turned back around and sat and waited some more. I heard the commotion again. I turned around and looked, nothing, "whats going on?" I thought to myself. Shortly after, about 10 minutes I heard footsteps behind me, I turn around to catch two does walking through the brush about 40 yards out. I let them go. About 10-15 minutes laterI hear the commotion again. I stand up and turn around and heres Ranger. Ranger was a buck I got on cam last year. At 1 1/2 years old he sported a very nice7 pointrack. This years hes sporting a great 10! I know this is ranger do to a scar that runs down his right side from a fight he got into last year that opened him up slightly during the pre rut. I had wondered if he had made it through last gun season. He did. Although I wasnt able to get off a shot at him, it was great to see him. Ive kind of grown fond of him after seeing him for the first time last year and let him walk several times last season. Im not sure I want to take him this year or wait another year. Im afraid if I dont take him when the chance arrises, I may never see him after this years gun season. Im guessing from the spread and width and the mass thats on his head he will easilly score 140+. If i can find the pic of him from last year Ill post it. Im not sure what I did with the pic after I moved into town
