Default RE: Practice Makes Perfect

i can relate...

last weekend started a special early doe season for special reg areas...friday i got home and shot some arrows..packed up the gear..went hunting satruday.

sunday i decided to tie a new loop on...marked the string so i could put the new one in the same spot. tied it on and started shooting...what the heck!?!? arrow is flyin nuts and makin wild noise. uht oh. bumped the rest hunting??

long story short, that arrow was the one i had nocked all day saturday...im GLAD i didnt get a shot. one of the back ends of the fletching was ripped off...probably from passing through my target so many times...probably happend the last shot i took friday evening.

i keep a couple practice heads sitting in the shed...unscrew the good heads and screw on the practice heads and practice with the arrows in my quiver. checked them all on all my arrows and all fly the same so no worries there...

heck...i got a buddy that says hes bowhunting this year. i took him to get set up in july. he shot once at home...then once at my house. said he could kill a deer at 25yds. he barely hit my 3ft bag at 20yds!! talked to him tonight. swears he can kill a deer at 20yds and he practiced THREE times since my house[:@][:'(] i just hope he plain out misses and doesnt wound one if he does get a shot...knowing him he will just get plain out lucky and drop it in its tracks and say bowhunting is easy...like always with that kid lol..
