Hey lethal, where were the pics taken? I just got back from bow hunting elk around the Kootney Plainson the south end of Abraham Lake. I stayed over night in Nordegg before and after the hunt.....beautiful country.
I was hunting in 417 so North or the Mountaire Lodge and West on Sundre. So im still south of you Dan but still similiar country. Did you manage to bag an elk??
nice grouse/pics. im hopefully going chicken/deer hunting on Sat in Rocky. It's supposed to rain though apparently, so hopefully the weather changes by then.

Well i went out a couple weeks ago with the bow and seen lots of bucks and it had rained all nite then a little in the mornin and the animals were moving alot that day. And i went on Sat and it rained all nite but i rained untill about 8 and we only seen 2 mulie bucks, then one whitey buck and two whitetail does. But i have a feeling there is gunna be snow up there next weekend since its snowing in Calgary as i speak
so i think the animals will be moving around really nice and the grouse will stick out like a sore thumb. Good luck to yah.
As for gettin that grouse with the bow, no i have a lil .410 survival gun i have so i popped him with that.
