Are you sure you have the right to hunt a "public right of way" over someone else's property?
If I think of utility lines or water easements, I know you can't just go and hunt those.
By definition, a right of way is the right to a limited use of the land for the purpose set
forth in the right of way. The owner of the land still "owns" the property. So if I have a pipeline
right of way on my property, it doesn't mean that the pipeline company can come set up
deerstands on the pipeline (unless they put that in the right of way).
Also, if it's narrow, wouldn't you almost have to track the deer off the right of way (unless you
shot them in the head).
I would be pissed if I were those private property owners, unless I am missing something.
