These can be a great elk or thick skinned animal bullet, acutually Chap Gleason prefers these 300 grain...

Usually when i am shooting 300 grain for elk I shoot the .458/300 grain rifle bullet

I put these in a MMP HPH-.458/50 Orange sabot... shoot about the same
velocity as a 45-70 government

These are what I use on deer - but make no mistake about it - if i had one of these loaded up and an elk were to appear - i would not hesitate a second to pull the trigger... might think a slpit second more about placement... but i would probably have the trigger pulled before I finished the thought... They are amazing - and that is not to say that the Barnes or the Swift A-Frame is not, but i grew up shooting Nolsers so it is really hard to think of anything else - until I look at prices - they are cheaper at Natches - but maybe freight equals them out...

If you have the time to wait look at the video.... Someone not to long ago remarked that a pistol bullet was not the best way to go, but these partitions are built for pistol hunting and ML's...
