Well the 120 grains of FFg with a roundball is more then enough for any elk that walks the planet. With that kind of weight from the ball and the power of the load, you put that in the right area of the elk and you better be ready to carry meat.

As for that Great Plains with that kind of powder charge.. that would be painful. Also of no value since you could not even hit a 5 gallon bucket. I kind of lost track but did you get the 1:48 twist barrel or the 1:70 twist barrel?
