like i said, i would never just carry a gun around with me, i wouldnt see a need to carry a gun to the store or something ya know (would cause more harm than good IMO), but while bowhunting in deep national forest, i know it would make me feel much better.
You are far more likely to run into a dangerous predator while going to the grocery store than you are bowhunting in the forest- at least in the forest, you're armed with a bow.
True, I doubt that I'd ever need to defend myself going to the local grocery store, but on the other hand I have to run the gauntlet of driving through the ghetto every day to get to work and back. My state doesn't allow for CCW, but that doesn't mean that there may or may not be a .45 sitting cocked and locked in an open zippered compartment of the 'man purse' I carry my lunch in every day right next to me on the seat of my truck. .gov says its a no-no but .gov doesn't pay the mortage and isn't going to put my kids through school if I'm not around for it.
