Default RE: Throwing $$$$ away???

ORIGINAL: wabi

Well,
I decided to try to salvage my Traditions Pursuit Pro misadventure by investing more $$$ today.
I bought a Pursuit Pro 12 ga a few years ago and was using one of the "aftermarket" Mossberg choke tubes Traditions recommended in the barrel. The tube & barrel was damaged using a recommended load, and Traditions refused to warrant the damage because I was using an "aftermarket" choke. I argued with them because their manual specifically states these chokes are acceptable, but I was pleading to deaf ears. [:@]
I ended up having the damaged choke portion cut off and now have a cylinder barrel. Tried selling it with no results, so I decided to go ahead and spend several $$$ and have a 26" .50 barrel fitted to the action.
I'll soon own a .12 ga/.50 cal. combo gun, and a very expensive one at that!
If the .50 barrel shoots well I'll probably be tempted to have the 12 ga barrel re-choked. [&:]Might even fire up the old forge, find a "buggy boxing" and swage a choke in it myself!
Why would you stay with a Traditions after you got such poor service? Why notleave the gun as a 12 gauge, and buy another MLer in a 50 cal, say a TC or Knight that stands behind their warranty? Chap Gleason
