Tough question. I've had Winchester Model 70, Remington 700BDL, Ruger77, Husquavarna,Bruno and Parker Hale. The only one I didn't like was the Parker Hale.

270 is a good choice.
Shot a Remington 710 and I agree with RR, it left a lot to be desired.
Shot a Browning SS with fiber stock and found it kind of blocky. Like the feel of wood.
