), but if it were me I'd take a strong look at the Browning T-Bolt .22. It's a very nice looking and seemingly well made rifle (as it should be, it's a Browning), and I personally really like a straight-pull bolt. I have an old stock Ruger 10/22 carbine that shoots about 1.5" at 50 yards which it's that great, but I've personally witnessed 10/22's with the straight bull barrels and match chambers shoot ragged hole groups at 50 yards, and the rifle/barrel cost well under $500.
