I bought a Pursuit Pro 12 ga a few years ago and was using one of the "aftermarket" Mossberg choke tubes Traditions recommended in the barrel. The tube & barrel was damaged using a recommended load, and Traditions refused to warrant the damage because I was using an "aftermarket" choke. I argued with them because their manual specifically states these chokes are acceptable, but I was pleading to deaf ears. [:@]
I ended up having the damaged choke portion cut off and now have a cylinder barrel.
I would have contacted the Better Business Bureau. Since it's in their manual they have to warranty it unless they state that using the choke would void it. It's too late now though. You modified the gun.
For example Knightused to say in their manuals that the use of a bipod voided the warranty. Then they changed that when I called them on it. Seems one of their engineers was in a magazine with a bipod on his rifle. They told me that he shouldn't have had that on his rifle and that they would change the manual.
