Why so far forward? I would have shot about 2-3 inches to the right (still safe double lung territory),
about like Rob/PA.

I'm not saying your wrong, edumucate me as to why aiming for the shoulder is the best shot. [8D]
I've shot deer there and watched them crash in less than 40 yards. For the last couple of years I've been aiming a bit farther back and I'm getting tired of almost shooting too far back and having to track them for over 200 yards. So, maybe this will help me to aim a bit more forward of where I have been lately!
