that is where im aiming. that is from a decintly steep treestand angle too...say 20ft high and 15-20yd shot. i rather be too low than too high.
correct me if im wrong, my ground shot should be a heart shot. my treestand should also take the heart and lungs...
my 2 lock ons i hung this year are rather low. unless they are really close im aiming just above the meeting of the body and leg...cant live with a hole through their heart and air in their chest cavity and atleast 1 collapsed lung
I think this is a bit far forward. Yes, deer legs are not huge, but about 2 inches back, and it is heart lung city. Look at all the other aim points,they are all just a bit back of yours. It might work, but you are getting close to some very heavy bone. Aim off the back of the leg, not the center, about 1/3 up=dead deer.
