Dave: My three White .504's might just like the bullet too.
I want to cast some more and be a little more careful. I thought I did a good job casting but saw a lot of flaws. I did note that I had the lead too hot the other day when I casted, so I will make adjustments there. I'd pour the mold and have to stand there until the lead would finally stop being molton. Then my mold was getting too hot I think. Also when the sizing dye gets here, then I can check them too.
Lee must have the cherry to make these molds; so how would one order a mold like that? Who do you contact and how??
I have no idea other then calling LEE Precision and asking them. You can get a hold of LEE at 1-262-673-3075. That is their main office. The other thing you might do is see if anyone on the White Boys board wants to sell one. Some of them bought extra molds.
Does it have a number?
none that I can find.
I assume that the sizing dies that you got will work in the Lyman press as well as probably the RCBS sizer press as they both use similar dies. Who did you order the sizing die from??
I ordered the sizing die from LEE also. $25.00 including shipping. 4-6 weeks before I get it. You can only order dimensions like .504 not .5045. These conicals actually measureed .505 so there will not be a lot of lead to remove.
By the way I am really liking the KRB7. It functions neat and feels great bringing to shoulder. Got to shoot soon!!!
I wish that rolling block was never made. That Knight rifle really has my interest. But I have too many rifles as it is. Of course one more would not hurt. It is getting cool here. Supposed to snow tonight. So shooting will only get better.
