There ain't a carbon made for under $120 a dozen that can come close to the tolerances used to construct an xx78.
I disagree entirely. You'd have to spend a lot more than that for a carbon arrow made as well as a xx78.

I think you really meant xx75.

And you are correct... out of those dozen carbons, you'll still get a few dogs.

I shoot ACCs and/or FMJs off my new Iron Mace. My back up bow is a Mathews LX, and I shoot 2213 XX75s with 5" feathers.

I have shot carbons, and still do for 3D. They are light, and they are fast and they are tough (for the most part). None of which I really care about when it comes to hunting. I want a good, heavy arrow with very consistant spine that will punch cleanly through a deer. I don't care if it gets bent all up after it goes through the deer because it has done its job. I don't give a hoot about spending money on good arrows, good broadheads or good ammunition in any of my hunting endeavors because that is the ONLY part of my equipment that acctually does the killing. I'm not going to spend all that time and money just to cut corners on what matters most. Give me a good straight aluminum with a super sharp Simmons Shark off a well tuned bow that I am comfortable with (I don't care who makes it or how much it costs or doesn't cost), and I'll be successful with it. Much more so than a super fast bow I cannot control with an arrow that is not spined correctly.
I was merely estimating ......I get my arrows from a dealer who is rep, so my guesses on prices ain't realistic.. I love the acc arrows, and the only reason I'm not hunting with them is because I still have 9 axis arrows left, and they are performing quite nicely for me as far as accuracy goes. How do you like FMJ/s?
