Subject: bow hunting
You are way off base with your column on bow hunting. If the deer population is not managed by hunters than the deer will succumb to starvation, other predators and automobiles, which is just as painful or more painful as being shot by a well aimed bow. To your disappointment bow hunters have a deep respect for the animals we chase, and a majority of hunters will not take a shot that would only wound a deer. The fact is that the deer need to be harvested so that they can maintain a healthy balance in their environment. Another fact is that you anti-hunters will only start with bow hunting and will not end your misguided crusade until you end all hunting, which I and many other hunters will not allow to happen.
