RE: Slug choke (vs rifled barrel) any good?
I know it wasn't in the question, but have you thought about a whole new gun? You can get a moss. 500 slugster w/ 24" rifled barrel w/ rifle sights and tapped for scope for $200, or the combo for $300. I have this gun, in all honesty it is a rather cheap gun, but it shoots real accurate. $300 also gets you an 870 w/ rifled barrel, but it only a 20" barrel. However, if you go this way, then you need to buy sabots, and they aren't exactly cheap either. Just a thought, I know its a chunk of money but I thought I'd throw that out there.
