We got lucky again this year with all 3 elk dropping in the field so no dragging was involved at all. I have a winch/ramp hookup on my dodge so i can just backup, pull the ramp, hook the winch to em and crankem up then slide the ramp underneath the false floor. I loaded all 3 myself while to boys watched in awe. Slick setup.
Wow I hope you realize how great you have it, not many of us elk hunters have those kind of "accomodations".. tree stand hunting and drive up to the carcass. Every single elk I've taken or been involved in taking has been quartered up and backpacked out over rugged terrain.. a major ordeal to say the least! Once again enjoy those spike steaks!
