i guess the farther the shot and the higher you go will effect it more... sounds like it will make you shoot lower if anything...
But keep in mind, the farther away the target at the same height the less it will be in distance difference.

Ex: Your in a 21' tree stand,

You range 20 yards, the actual distance is 18.73 yards...

You range 40 yards, the actual distance is 39.38 yards....

The height and distances would have to be very extreme before you ever see 2 yards or more difference. As I said above, when in doubt, subtract a yard, no one can shoot the difference, bend at the waist, pick a hair and split it.

The other thing to consider, most if not all range finders are give or take a yard...
