Good questions. The battery life indicator is on the camera itself and basically shows a small flashing battery.. As for the 9volt battery, I replace it everytime I change my film, even though I am sure I probably do not need to.

Since I bought my cam in October, the hottest temps we have experienced would have been about 85. The cam worked fine then. Of course in GA summer heat will be a test.

The flash range is great, compared to the exact camera I cannot comment. However I can say that it is about 30 feet, which is about 2 times what I got from my Moultries when they worked

I do know that they take great quality photos and that I get very, very few empty pics.
