RE: My first big mistake
Well goes to show allways have a safe back stop.I'll tell on myself here.Back in my formative days I had bought a new bow and took it behind my shop at the end of my driveway to shoot.I did'nt have a sight on the bow yet just shot a few arrows into the target bag to get the feel of the bow.The arrow hit the top of the bag and went thru sticking in the wall of my shop. The insert came out of the arrow and went zinging down the driveway and proceeded to hit my wife who was standing in the driveway 40 yards or so away in the calf.Needless to say she was pi$$ed.It took us a few minutes to figure out what happened. It was funny at the time but could have been a serious incident. The side of the insert hit her leg fortunately not the field point end.Left one heck of a bruise.Of course she had to tell every one how I "shot" her in the leg with my new bow.
