The more I shoot my OMEGA the more I like two particular traits it has. It seems that every time I take my first 2 shots, they are either touching or very close to one another. And secondly those first two shots hit at my point of aim every time.
So I have come to a conclusion. 5 shot groups are to be banned for life for shooting muzzleloaders. Think about it. If we get two shots we are lucky. As a muzzleloading hunter, more often than not a second shot will not be required in any case.
So here is my target for today. Now remember shots 3-5 don't count in the group size.

This is with the 45-70 .458 Nosler Partitions and the Orange MMP Sabot. Sabot condition was odd. 1-no petals, 1-one petal, 1-two petal, 1-three petal and 1-four petal. The first 2 shots I found the 3 petal and the no petal base. I also found a few bullets, one of which was laying next to my targe box [:-]. It is the one on the left. I think it hit a rock and bounced back????
