Tried adding a small amount of powder and i just got a flash in the pan. I added a little over a half a pan full and it went off good. I started using my vent pick in between shots and it did a lot better. I was all over the target in the beginning, and then starts swabbing and it did great. 4" low at 100 yards so i adjusted it and ended up 3" high @ 100 which is where i am leaving it. With swabbing between shots i ended up with a 2" 3 shot group. Its ready for hunting season and im happy with it.
I use Tom Fuller black english flints and will only use them, they are amazing. I also keep it bevel down.
I started swabbing after i had a killer of a time getting my 3ed shot down on a dirty bore. The first 5" of barrel fouls up badly and then once you get past that part, smooth as silk.
