RE: Unethical shot and won't even admit it!
I won't mention any of that again then. One of the interesting things about internet forums is you don't always know who is actually reading the posts, and who is just skimming through catching the high points. Sometimes I even forget if I have already mentioned something, too many things going through my mind at once. I re-read what I posted, and I did get a bit snippy. Sorry about that, maybe I'm just a little edgy today. Degree is from WTAMU.
I read the link over on the other ethics thread about forum posting guidelinesand it made alot of sense to me, so at this point I will bow out without blowing this up any further on a personal level. Feral hogs will always be a sore subject in Texas. There are several sides to the issue and they do not all agree, and never will. Fact is, if me and you sat down with a beer, we would probably actually agree on 95% of it all.
That is one thing I did learn in school, that ethics is strongly tied to wildlife, and tempers burn hot and fast depending on which side of the issue you happen to be on. In wildlife it seems we are constantly compromising due to multiple land use issues and groups of users. We ofter get hung up on technicalities and details, when really we are going in the same direction. I suppose I sometimes get tired of the endless compromise in my professional life, so when it comes to my personal life I tend to delineate boundaries quite sharply. We all have our faults I guess.
