They gather much more light, and you will get a brighter, more defined picture all the way out to the edges of the lenses. Shoot 3D with a medium pair of binocs, and then borrow your buddys leicas or swarovskis and look at the same difference. Now when before you could only make out half the x ring, and had to guess where the other side was..............the dark side appears with the swarovski's.

I will have a top notch pair of binocs someday, its just not in the budget now. I will likely have the spotting scope to match as well.........
