Default MZE, had to go.

Dang it!, After getting my '06 Allegiance and reading Greg/Mo. great post on his fondness for his MZE I decided to put one on. I did notice one blip on the radar in Greg's post ref: A certain archery Guru from Maryland said they just won't work on some Bowtech bows. Well I thought I could tinker enough with mine to make it work.
I have literally worked at it for overthree months and I gave up today. I might be wrong but from my experience I think the problem is fletching clearance.I'vespent a small fortune on different fletching's and I've shot em in every configurationthat I know of, cock vane down, up, sideways, etc. etc. I know that every fletching configuration thatIhave tried hasdone a 360 rotation on the arrows they were on in my efforts to make things work. Now to be fair to the rest I'll say that I shot it well but I just couldn't get that little bit offletching contact out of my head. I've always been able to tune BH's and FP's to group together but because of this minute amount of fletching contact it just ain't happening with this rest/bow comboand if you use the supplied arrow keeper make sure you set it when you set your center shot becauseif you shoot cock vane down your vane is going to have to slide through it. My wifekeeps asking me where her lipstick is. I know I've used a tube of it this summer. At least there's a happy ending to the story. I took out my old tried and true Tiger Tuff threeprong capture rest (similar to BodoodleZapper) andin about 2 hrs. of tinkering andshooting the ol Rhinehart I fixed what I've fought for two months. This is not a MZE bashing thread because they are a great rest but it just didn't work out for me.
