mo...i dont know how big the missouri is, but the ohio is over 300yds wide (dang i just ranged it last month and cant remember the number! but its 300+ ) and its not uncommon to find deer on the banks that didnt make the swim. i usually find them washed up in areas where there arent woods around, which definently makes me believe they swim it...never SEEN them swim it...but i dont doubt it...

depending on the size of that island, id almost be there would be deer on it..
