I've never concerned myself with it as far as choosing to hunta particular spot. The caliber of animal I'm looking to shoot may change slightly. A basket rack 8 is not nearly as fun to drag as a 170" !
Yooper, you make up a great point.
It doesn't limit where I hunt but it does limit what I shoot. I do/did hunt this one spot that we never shot does in because it wasn't worth the drag...a buddy of mine signalled to me about this doe coming to his tree...I signal'd NO...and he got the "remember the drag" part but decided to shoot it anyway. When we finally got the deer back, (huge doe), he looked at me and said, never again...lol Only the big boys get shot up and over there.
