I got me a doe today with my truck.Do we get any points for that?Atleast it was my old truck and not my good one.
The acorns are starting to drop already here in se ohio.I need to set my trail cams on a couple of my favorite groves.I had pictures of nine different bucks last year from the one grove of oaks.
The oaks are starting here too. Some are rotten inside. I have a spot on an oak ridge that's dynamite when the oaks are dropping. I got pinned in my stand there last year when about 25 deer , including the 3 biggest bucks I've been close to came out at dusk. It was too dark to pick a spot.
Too bad, because I had a wide 10 pt. 20 yards away. It was just too risky. That was the first Sat. of Oct. and I never saw him again.
By the way, any idea why acorns are hollow and some are meaty from the same tree??
Oh yeah...no points for a doe. But if you can get her to grow a rack???
